Preliminary Checks

  1. Truth Shield™ Safety Warning — ELECTRIC: Start capacitors and some run capacitors can store lethal energy like a “loaded gun” even when the unit is unplugged or the breaker is off. To safely discharge, use a 20,000-ohm 5-watt resistor or a dedicated capacitor discharge tool across terminals. Never use a screwdriver as it can damage the capacitor or cause an arc flash. Discharge per OEM and never touch terminals with your bare hands. 120/240 V can kill. Use a meter, one hand in pocket, and follow local codes.
  2. Confirm supply polarity / breaker stability for 120 V loads — nuisance electronics faults track loose neutrals.
  3. Isolate mechanical versus electronic fault paths using OEM symptom trees — avoid swapping boards without proof.
  4. If external checks fail, the problem is internal component failure that requires Field Cortex Master Diagnostic (which you are about to unlock below) for the pinpoint electrical proving plan.

Run these before checkout — same-day logic checks that sharpen the paid Electrical Proving Plan.

Reality check

You save the day with basic tools and our logic — not with a parts cannon. Standard truck rolls still run $180+ just to arrive. Most “mystery” faults are $30–$60 wear items once you execute a Logic-First Repair path and prove the circuit.

Why intermittent faults repeat

Stop the Part Cannon™ — separate controls, airflow, and sealed-system buckets with an Electrical Proving Plan so you don’t fund the wrong truck roll.
